July + August Mood

The peak summer months sure have flown by. July was jam packed with fun and I've been sick the whole month of August with pneumonia. It started the day before we left for our trip to Sunriver, and what I thought was just going to be a cough turned into me spending the whole week in bed before I finally went to the hospital in Bend in a state of sepsis. After spending two nights there I was able to go home with oxygen, which I am now thankfully off of a week later. So needless to say I am not only incredibly grateful to be alive, but to feel like I have the energy to do things again little by little, like write this blog post. Hopefully I will continue to recover quickly enough to be able to enjoy the last bit of summer.
Lee Farm's Sunflower Festival in Tualatin looks magical and ends this Sunday, August 24th! Click to go to their site.
I'm in love with this Madewell dress for that summer/fall transition weather. It's 100% cotton and $49.97 at Nordstrom Rack. Click to go to the site.
I just ordered more of these probiotics for all of us after the antibiotics my daughter and I have had to take for pneumonia and lots of dental issues with my boys, I figured it could be beneficial. $29.95 from SuperTeeth, click to go to their site.

We had such a magical buck moon gathering in July for the full moon. We did an earth altar ritual from the flowers we brought and various pinecones and sticks the kids collected. We also made flower garlands and sidewalk chalk paint, I will link those below.
You can do this with any flowers that will hold and just thread them on string with a needle. This is a reel tutorial from @northwoodsfolk on IG. Click to watch.
This is a screenshot from her reel on making sidewalk chalk paint. This was so easy and quick and the kids loved it. Click to go to @northwoodsfolk on IG.
I fell in love with this Hibiscus Italian Cream Soda from This Mess is Ours. The syrup was also delicious in Prosecco and iced tea. Click to get the recipe.
